All for me Grog. A

Intro:
The Evils of the Demon Drink: Tot started in 1655, Sailors entitled to 1 pint of strong spirit. Usually Rum: This is about 8/9 30ml singles a day. Rum was not 40% but 60% plus. Test was to mix it with gunpowder, put a match to and see if it went off. Not Until Admiral Edward Vernon in 1740 realised his crew was legless. How this took 85 years !!! He introduced mixing the pint of Rum with a quart of water and the sailors called it Grog. Admiral Vernon was known as Old Grog because he wore a particular cloak made from Wool and Silk Known as Grogram. Drink responsibly.

And it’s all for me grog, me jolly jolly grog
All for me beer and tobacco
Well I’ve spent all me tin on the lassies drinking gin
Far across the western ocean I must wander

1 Where are me boots, me noggin’ noggin’ boots
All gone for beer and tobacco
Well the soles are all worn out
And the heels are kicked about
And the toes are looking out for better weather.
Chorus:

2 Where is me shirt me noggin’ noggin’ shirt
It’s all gone for beer and tobacco
You see the sleeves they got worn out
And the collar was turned about
And the tail is looking out for better weather
Chorus:

3 Where is me wife me noggin’ noggin’ wife
She’s all gone for beer and tobacco
Well her front it got worn out
And her tail been kicked about
And I’m sure she’s looking out for better weather
Chorus:

4 I’m sick in the head and I haven’t been to bed
Since first I came ashore with me plunder
I’ve seen centipedes and snakes
And my head is full off aches
And I’ll have to take that path to way up yonder
Chorus x 2
